Tonight! Let’s do this!

cleanyrroom

I am counting on you tonight. WPRB is counting on you as well.

This the WPRB Membership Drive, the one week a year where we raise money for the station’s day-to-day operations. The drive runs from now through October 14. My only drive show for the year is this evening from 7-10 pm ET.

This evening’s program is titled “Quintessential WPRB” and will feature a 25+ year retrospective of the most-requested, most-wonderfully overplayed and thoroughly, uniquely WPRB songs I could recall.

Imagine a world without WPRB.

Heck, imagine a Christmas without WPRB.

That’s what the station is facing without the continued financial support of members like you.

Think back about all WPRB has given you, not just on Wednesday nights, not just for 24 hours during the holidays.

As a listener who has discovered music and won countless tickets through WPRB, as a member of a band who is played only on our airwaves or as part of a like-minded organization that has benefitted from 103.3 fm in some similar fashion, I hope you will give back.

If you appreciate the incredible freeform programming that WPRB currently provides and has provided free of charge for decades, this is the time to give.

If you respect the work that WPRB’s volunteer staff puts in to create challenging, exciting and creative radio, this is the time to give.

All pledges are tax-deductable, you can donate via check or credit card and you can get a wide range of “thank you” items in return for supporting WPRB. You can even pay your donation off in installments.

I hope some of you will consider making a $240 pledge and dividing it by 12 months. You’ll be giving more but this plan won’t hit your pocketbook as severely all at once.

In addition to the station swag available starting at the $15 pledge level I’ve arranged “thank you” prize packs from favorite labels including 12XU and Dark Entires. Donate $45 or more to be eligible to win. 3-4 amazing records in each bundle.

For the first time ever the station has set a public drive goal – $40,000.

For Clean Yr Room and my program to hit our goal of combining for at least $5,000 of this mark WE NEED TO RAISE THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS TONIGHT.

You’ve been so generous in the past and I know you will be there for WPRB this evening. Make sure to give tonight between between 7:00-10:00 pm ET. Every bit helps. Both myself and my co-host Julia Factorial can’t wait to read your name on-air.

Thank you so much in advance.

Wednesday’s Membership Drive show is titled “Quintessential WPRB.”

The 2012 WPRB Membership Drive got off to a great start yesterday thanks to your support. Co-hosting Clean Yr Room with Art & Julia was great fun and we raised just over $2,100 for the station’s day-to-day operations.

You may not have heard but for the first time WPRB has set a public fundraising goal ($40,000). It remains my hope that between CYR and my program we can raise AT LEAST $5,000. We’re on pace but we won’t pull this off without your much-appreciated and much-needed contributions.

For my Membership Drive show this year I’m doing a program titled QUINTESSENTIAL WPRB.

What’s the plan? Well, what are the all-time most over-requested, constantly-played songs you’ve heard on the station since you started listening?

What songs from various promos and IDs do you wish you knew the identity of?

On Wednesday night it all will come together.

In addition to the station swag available starting at the $15 pledge level I’ve arranged “thank you” items from favorite labels including 12XU and Dark Entires. Donate $45 or more to be eligible to win.

All pledges are tax-deductable, you can donate via check or credit card.

To phone in your support: 609.258.1033

To pledge on-line: http://pledge.wprb.com

To listen: http://listen.wprb.com

Make sure to give Wednesday between 7-10 pm ET. We can do this!

Every bit helps. Please show your support of challenging, exciting and creative radio. Have a voice in the station’s future and allow us to keep doing what we love in the manner that you already enjoy.

Thank you once again in advance,

Jon

Don’t miss Clean Yr Room tonight!

The 2012 WPRB Membership Drive is underway! This is the one week a year where we raise money for the station’s day-to-day operations. The drive runs from now through October 14th.

I will be doing my annual co-hosting Clean Yr Room with Art & Julia tonight from 7:00 pm ET-9:00 pm ET as part of said drive. It is going to be a lot of fun. One of my favorite evenings annually.

This is big: For the first time the station has set a public fundraising goal ($40,000) and it is my hope that between CYR and my program we can raise AT LEAST $5,000. With your much-appreciated contributions we can hit that mark, if not exceed it!

Please show your support of challenging, exciting and creative radio – especially tonight and this coming Wednesday night.

There are “thank you” items starting at the $15 pledge level and both CYR and my program have some UNREAL SHOW-SPECIFIC THANK YOUS to offer on top of that swag. You know what to do. You know when to do it. X MAKE IT HAPPEN X.

If you appreciate the incredible freeform programming that WPRB currently provides and has provided free of charge for decades, this is the time to give back.

If you respect the work that WPRB’s volunteer staff puts in to create challenging, exciting and creative radio, this is the time to give back.

I’ll be back tomorrow with details and an epic theme for my drive show.

Thank you in advance,

I’ve never done a “reading” before, but I’ll be taking part in the Soundtrack Series this Sunday at 8:00 pm ET in Philadelphia at L’etage (624 South 6th Street).

Each guest will be telling a story built around a specific song and my portion is an uplifting tale of woe involving Naked Raygun’s “Home Of The Brave.”

It would great if you could come out. RSVP on Facebook.
