We made it to November, which means year 34 of THE MARATHON is inching into view from around the corner.

The 2022 edition of my 25-Hour Holiday Radio Show on 103.3 fm WPRB will start on Christmas Eve at 5:00 pm ET and run sleep-free until Christmas Day at 6:00 pm ET. 

This year’s marathon will again happen LIVE FROM HOME<\/strong> for a third (and possibly final) time, broadcast from my dining room table in place of the studios. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, let\u2019s talk one of my favorite parts of the broadcast… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas Stories<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the last 11 years I’ve asked a number of friends, musicians, comedians and others that I admired to record their definition of an original \u201cChristmas story\u201d to be interspersed hourly throughout my marathon, alongside other annual favorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This addition has brought a new level of excitement to the program and made the tradition all the more special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For year XXXIV, I\u2019m counting on YOU + YOURS!

I\u2019m not going to list all the amazing people who have recorded pieces in the past this time out. You can listen to past favorites here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for 2022 is Monday, December 19th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is a Christmas Story?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well\u2026it can be a reading of a favorite Xmas tale, a cover of a holiday song you love or an original piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I leave that in your creative hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d love to receive so many recordings that I can once again debut one of these an hour throughout the marathon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My lone request is that you do not post your piece elsewhere before it airs during the show<\/strong>! Please! Afterwards go wild, just mention the show<\/strong> when you do share on Bandcamp \/ Soundcloud \/ etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
